The Swag SOBE is the newest cigar to come out of Boutique Blends Cigars aka Oliveros Cigars.

First off, the Swag SOBE has very attractive marketing.  The cigar features two colorful bands, as well as the white paper stamped SWAG and DR.  The colors are bright and are very South Beach Miami like.

The cigar itself was medium in color, and looks very attractive.  The cigar I smoked for this review did have a cap that looked like it had been put on sloppily.

This cigar falls into the medium to full strength range, and is full flavored.  Upon first light, you are instantly hit with a nutty flavoring, as well as some light citrus notes.  The citrus flavor grows the further along you get into the cigar.  About a ¼ way into the cigar, I started tasting some pepper and was also picking up a very nice creaminess to the cigar.

Mid-way through the strength of this cigar really started to appear.  I do feel that taste wise, some of the flavor disappeared with the added strength.

Towards the end of the cigar I did also pick up some earthy tones.

The ash of the cigar was a nice light gray, and held pretty firm to the cigar even with me laying it down and picking it up quite a few times.  The burn overall was uneven, and I did make a number of touch ups to try to even out the burn.

The pluses:  The attractiveness of the cigar itself, as well as the flavor.

The negatives:  It seems too much of the flavor of this cigar was lost to the added strength in my opinion.  The uneven burn that required multiple touch ups was a negative in my book as well.

Would I buy a box of these?  Probably not, they are good, but overall not for my regular rotation.  Should you give it a try?  Absolutely.  We all have different palates, and for someone who is looking for a strong cigar, this may be right up your alley.
