The Trinidad Paradox is the newest release from Trinidad and Altadis for 2012.

The new Trinidad Paradox features a bright, shiny, and colorful band.  The band features black, silver, and neon green colors, which instantly catch your eye.  The cigar itself is light in color, with some light veins, and is box-pressed.

The cigar had a very sweet taste to it with wood, leather and spice flavors.  The earthiness flavor that this cigar gives off, pairs very well with the leather and woodsy undertones.  I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of this Trinidad, which is unlike any of the other cigars in their lines.

The strength on this cigar falls into the mild category.  This is a great cigar for those who have not smoked a cigar before, or as that first cigar of the day for us seasoned smokers.  I personally think this cigar would be really good as the first cigar of the day with a cup of coffee.

The burn on this cigar was very consistent and burned evenly throughout the cigar with only one touch up needed.

Now would this cigar make it into my regular rotation?  Maybe.  I like the cigar overall, but it was a bit mild for me personally.  It would make a good breakfast cigar, but I can’t say that I smoke all too many that early in the morning.  Should you try it?  Yes, of course.  Like I mentioned earlier, it is a great cigar for those who enjoy a milder cigar or a newer cigar smoker.
