Tarazona is back on the review site!  After weeks of trying to track these cigars down locally, I made a trip to Smokey’s in Knoxville to score some of Eddies additional lines.  For this review we sampled the Tarazona Classic, and much like our previous review of the Tarazona XTC, the Classic did not disappoint.

First off, the look.  The Tarazona Classic is a great looking cigar.  I smoked the torpedo, which featured a medium colored Sumatran wrapper.  The wrapper showed some very small veins, and was simply a pleasure to look at.  One of my favorite parts of the Tarazona “look,” is the band.  The bands of all the Tarazona cigar lines are classic and timeless and really appeal to me.

Flavor.  This is always the big one for me.  A cigar can look great and smoke well, but if the flavor is not there, it just doesn’t work.   The Tarazona Classic is a powerhouse of flavor that explodes upon first light.  The first flavoring I picked up on was the sweetness.  Now, when I say sweet, I do not mean “flavored tobacco sweetness” just good natural sweet tobacco.  The cigar also presented some light leathery flavor, and strong cocoa notes.  All in all, I would have smoked it all night if I could.

The overall burn of this cigar was excellent, I lit it once when I first started, and it burned solidly for the entire smoke.  The Tarazona Classic did not require any touch ups.  This cigar also featured a very clean white smoke.

Would I buy it again?  Hell yeah.  Actually, it is on my list for my next box purchase, along with the XTC.  Plus, as you know from the review of the XTC, Eddie donates $5 of every box purchase to it Bull rescue.  And as most of you know from Pats review on the XTC, we both have Pits.  So, it is a great cigar and it also helps a great cause.  Go out and buy one and try it yourself, better yet; buy a box, smoke a great cigar, and help out a great cause.
