The new Herrera Esteli was quite possibly one of the most anticipated new releases from cigar greats Drew Estate.  The initial release of the Herrera Esteli was a limited store release.  I only found these after contacting my local (Jeff “The Animal” Tinnell) and regional (Zev Kaminetsky) Drew Estate reps and asking, “WHERE CAN I FIND THESE?”

The look of the new Herrera Esteli cigar is pretty unique.  The cigar itself is medium in color with some light veins and a very well done triple cap.  The band of the Herrera Esteli is only what I can describe as reminiscent of old world Cuba.  The colors that are present in the band are flat, not shiny as most new cigar bands are today.  The actual colors of the band are a white background with gold trim and red lettering that reads Herrera Esteli.

The flavors of this cigar are amazing, with an excellent initial light aroma.  The flavors of the Herrera Esteli are, strong cedar notes and a rich earthiness that is present throughout the entire smoke.

Burn wise this cigar was spot on with a perfect burn throughout the entire cigar.  Great full smoke.

Would I buy it again?  Yep!  The Herrera Esteli was a great smoke, with some wonderful flavors present.  Hell, I would even go as far as to say I would pick up a box, but I probably wouldn’t share them…
