Being that today is Memorial Day, I could not think of a better cigar to do a review on than the American Eagles.  The American Eagles cigar is a cigar made in the Dominican Republic by cigar maker Hendrik Kelner.  A portion of each box sale of American Eagles cigars go to support the Semper Fi Fund, that helps injured and critically ill members of our  armed forces.

The first thing you notice about the American Eagles is that it is a camouflage cigar. That’s right, a camouflage cigar.  The cigar itself is traditionally rolled, and then has three different types of wrapper leaf applied in a camouflage pattern.  The wrappers on this cigar have been put on extremely well, and I did not have any issues with it while smoking the cigar.

Flavor time!  This cigar is an excellent blend of many different tobaccos.  The most prominent flavors are that of wood and cedar, as well as light cocoa and a slight spice.  This cigar also features a sweet creaminess to it while smoking.  Flavor wise, this was an excellent tasting cigar.

The burn was probably one of the most surprising things for me.  I really thought that with all the different layers of wrapper that it would at some point start to fall apart or burn unevenly.  Truth be told, it burned perfectly throughout the entire smoke and did not need any touch ups.

Buy them again?  Yes, not only because it is a great cigar, but because a portion of all the sales go to support our injured and ill military. They taste great, they smoke great, and they are wicked cool to have in the humidor.

Keeping Your Man Card would like to give a special thanks to all of our military members both past and present.  We thank you for the freedom to enjoy great cigars on a daily basis, and we thank you for the sacrifices you and your families make for all of us.  God bless the military and God bless America!
