Viva Republica is one of the newest boutique cigar companies to come into the market.  The brand owner is Jason Holly, who is working with Guillermo Leon and La Aurora to produce these great cigars.

The look of this cigar is very appealing to the eye.   The Rapture features a beautiful Ecuadorian Havana Vuelta Abajo wrapper that is medium brown in color with some light veins.  The wrapper leaf also has a very light sheen to it.  The band is off white and black in color and reads Rapture.

The flavor of this cigar was definitely enjoyable.  The most prominent flavors are that of strong and rich wood notes as well as some slight pepper and cocoa notes.  The overall strength of this cigar puts it in as a solid medium in my book.

The burn on this cigar was fairly good overall only requiring one small touch up to keep the burn going straight.

Buy it again?  Sure, I just wish one of my local shops would pick these up, maybe it is time to start making phone calls…  The flavor profile was spot on, and you know the cigar is a quality stick when it is made by a company with as good a reputation as La Aurora.
