The Nat Sherman Timeless Nicaragua is a cigar that had pretty much flown under our radar. Why? Not many shops in our area carry Nat Sherman products. Uptown’s Smoke Shop here in Nashville recently brought in the Timeless Nicaragua, Pat, (you know the guy that writes reviews here but hasn’t in a long time) called me the other morning and said he was going to be going over to Uptown’s to have lunch with the general manager Marcus and to pick up a couple of these as well as some other sticks. I asked him to pick me up a couple while he was there and now I am addicted.

The Nat Sherman Timeless Nicaragua is available in 21 count boxes and is available in six different sizes:

-452: 4×52

-546: 5×46

-556: 5×56

-652T: 6×52 Torpedo

-660: 6×60

-749: 7×49

Looks wise this is a classic looking cigar. The band is an off white almost yellowish color in the center with grayish black lettering that reads “Nat Sherman.” The center is trimmed in gold with a grayish black colored background on each side. In this background area is the outline of a building in gold. The cigar itself is a nice medium shade of brown and has a clean Nicaraguan wrapper leaf with minimal veining. The cigar is box-pressed with a triple cap.

The flavor category is where this cigar really stands out! Upon first light this cigar opens with some strong earth notes, as well as a mild wood flavor and some spice. Around the half way mark some hints of cocoa start to become present. As the second half of the cigar began the wood notes took on a much more prominent role and were accompanied by a mild creaminess. The final third of the Nat Sherman Timeless gained a bit of nuttiness and coffee flavors as well as more spice and cream. Overall the flavor profile was fantastic. Strength wise I would put this cigar in the Medium category.

Initial lighting of the Nat Sherman Timeless did seem to take some extra effort. I’m unsure as to why, but it just did not want to light very quickly. However, once it was lit it did burn perfectly requiring no touch ups while smoking. The ash of this cigar was solid and only fell when ashed. The smoke was full and white.

Overall, this cigar is amazing! I would dare to say it is one of my favorite sticks as of late. Box worthy? Hell yeah, I already ordered one. Why? Let’s see; great construction, amazing flavor profile, and a good burn. What more do you need? Go out, find them, and smoke them. Then let us know what you thought.
